Hindu Temples Destination In Bali, Indonesia


The people of Bali is known for its hospitality, they are a religious community. Most of them are Hindus, and always active in religious events. There are many Hindu temples in Bali, which is called Pura. Some of this place have become a beautiful tourist spot.

 

Pura Alas Paiguman


Pura Alas Paiguman or better known as the Pura Guman is a temple that is often used for sacred religious ceremonies. This temple is surrounded by a fairly dense trees, it was very quiet so it is often used as for meditation. Some ancient relics found in this temple, especially the legacy of the kingdom Wharmadewa, the Linga as high as one meter measuring 70 cm, Nandi bull statue, and many others.

At Mandala Pura Paiguman, there are patterned Buddhist stupa, south side there are three trees that Pule hundreds of years old and looks great. It is said that this tree is very sacred by the local people and is regarded as a symbol of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. This temple has been thousands of years since it was built in the X-XI century AD.

Pura Alas Jagasari


Pura Alas Jagasari a temple which has its own uniqueness. This temple is a combination of the Bale Agung and Pura Puseh. Interestingly, around the temple is lined by small forest that contains a variety of plants for the purpose of religious ceremony is usually held in Pura Alas Jagasari.

This temple was built in the X - XI century AD, during the Old Kingdom of Bali Wharmadewa. Pura Gunung Raung

Pura Selukat


Pura Selukat no less important than the other temples. Pura Selukat serves to make application for the holy water.

Pura Selukat is a place to worship God in its manifestation as a conduit of blessing to many people. In Hindu literature, the meaning of sanctification could mean using many tools such as the agni, solar, pertiwi, sacred ceremonies, etc.. Pura Selukat is a tourist attraction in Subak Area, Village Keramas Blahbatu, Gianyar, Bali which is about 15 km from Denpasar city.

 

Pura Dalem Jagaraga


Pura Dalem Jagaraga is one that has a special attraction for tourists. This temple is one of the Pura Kahyangan Tiga Jagaraga, which generally have characteristics in common with other Pura Dalem in Bali, such as proximity to the cemetery, has ornaments and statues that have spooky and scary face, include the famous Durga Betara statue.

Some of the uniqueness of this temple is to have a relief sculpture in front of the wall, on the outside of the temple, where the reliefs that depict old-fashioned combat aircraft, armed robbery, boats, people who are drinking beer.
